None of us ever do great things. But we can all do small things, with great love, and together we can all do something wonderful.
The healthcare field is a high stress environment that requires a lot of people from different perspectives to work together. They work within a fast-paced world of intense schedules and electronic medical records. At the same time, they must assume multiple roles- learner, teacher, caregiver, leader….all while navigating the complex culture and social structure of health care delivery.
Our community is fortunate to have the Atoka County Medical Center and its staff. Our medical staff have been instrumental in patient care while navigating through a pandemic and its aftermath.. Many have young families or are working hard to further their education in their off hours or both. They sacrifice family time working long hours, faced with staff shortages, they take their work home with them thinking about their patients off the clock, and they put themselves at risk for exposure to illness and disease.
They have dedicated themselves to our community, to the residents and to the quality of patient care they deliver. Please take a few minutes out of your day to thank a healthcare worker.
