Using independent and interdependent judgment, the Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN must supervise Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, students, and orientees. In collaboration with the physician, the RN assures implementation of the assessment plan, evaluation, and follow up of the plan of care for the patient population
This position requires a valid permanent State Registered Nurse License. The individual must have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, be dedicated to the provision of quality patient care, and use sound judgment in decision-making. CPR certification required. Advanced cardiac life support certification required within twelve months of hire. For ER nurses, TNCC and PALS should be required within one year of employment.
Ability to maintain assigned worked hours: Requires endurance to perform tasks over long periods of work hours.
