The Respiratory Care Practitioner will provide cardio-pulmonary services according to the scope of the State Respiratory Care Practice Act and the hospital policy and procedure manuals. The Respiratory Care Practitioner may administer and perform those direct and indirect cardio-pulmonary services, including but not limited to, the administration of pharmacological and diagnostic and therapeutic agents related to cardio-pulmonary procedures necessary to implement a treatment, disease prevention pulmonary rehabilitation, and diagnostic regimen prescribed by a physician using safe and aseptic techniques. Responds to the Emergency Department while in the facility.
- Graduate of an American Medical Association approved School of Respiratory Care
- Current and valid State Respiratory Care Licensure
- Excellent communication, customer service, organizational, prioritizing, and critical thinking skills
Licensure, BLS certification, ACLS certification
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Sufficient hearing, vision and dexterity to perform duties safely
